Qualifying Events

We have already had several Regional Qualifying events so far this year…
– Swimmers travelled to Comox Valley for the first qualifying meet where great success was had by everyone. It was nice to see everyone try their best, and some surprised themselves with personal best times.
– SOBC-Nanaimo had a flourishing basketball program this year, and we were able to send enough players to the qualifier in Port Alberni to make up one team who came 2nd in a nail biter final in the B division, and others who joined with players from Oceanside to compete in the C division. Skill improvement over the season was exciting to see.
– 10 Pin Bowling had 3 teams travel to Victoria for their qualifier competition. Players outdid themselves, showing great sportsmanship, improved skill level and they made our new uniforms shine.
– Rhythmic Gymnastics will compete in April
– Soccer regionals is scheduled for May 25th
– Powerlifting will be participating in a Powerlifting BC event as their qualifier in Cedar on Sunday, May 26th
– Bocce regionals will be June 8th and/or 9th
– SOBC-Nanaimo will once again host the Track and Field qualifier on Saturday, June 15th
– Golf regionals is scheduled to be hosted by Oceanside on June 23rd
– Softball will travel to Campbell River July 6/7th for their tournament
Reminder – athletes must be registered before they can participate in any programs. Athletes must attend 75% of practices to attend any competitions, especially qualifying meets.
