Paint Nite!

SOBC Nanaimo is hosting a Paint Nite fundraising event on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 7:00 PM at Simon Holt restaurant, 6582 Applecross Road, Nanaimo, BC.

“Paint Nite is invading bars and restaurants near you with everything you need to create a one-of-a-kind painting. We’ll guide you and your friends through two lively hours of creativity, drinking, and laughing ‘til your cheeks hurt. The best part? You don’t have to be an artist to have an amazing time.”

Healthy Athletes

Saturday, November 4, 2017 – 10:00am – 3:00pm

Coal Tyee Elementary School

Nanaimo, BC

This is a fun, free day with lots of giveaways, education and free screenings in the area of Fit Feet (podiatry), Special Smiles (dentistry), Healthy Hearing (audiology), Strong Minds (mental health), Opening Eyes (optometry) and Health Promotion. Come out and interact with others, learn more about your health, and get amazing resources and tools to help keep you healthy and active.

The professionals who lead Healthy Athletes screenings have received specific training to help them ask the right questions, and their interactions with Special Olympics athletes lead to referrals back into the health care system that ensure the individuals will get the treatment they need.

Sports Celebrities Festival Auction

The Sports Celebrities Festival presented by Wheaton Precious Metals is an inspiring and interactive gala celebrating the power of sport and the human spirit, raising vital funds for the Canucks For Kids Fund and Special Olympics BC. The silent auction is an integral part of this support, and we are excited to offer all SOBC supporters the opportunity to bid in the 2017 Sports Celebrities Festival online auction.

The auction website http://www.scf2017.com is now open for online bidding and will close at 9:30 p.m. November 2 live at the Sports Celebrities Festival.

We would be grateful for your support in bidding on items and/or spreading the word about the auction. You’ll find a wide range of items to tempt all tastes, and perhaps the chance to get some exclusive Christmas presents, all while supporting Special Olympics BC and the Canucks for Kids Fund.

Please feel free to share the auction website link with friends, family, and colleagues.

If you have any questions about the auction, please do not hesitate to contact Charlotte Taylor at ctaylor@specialolympics.bc.ca
