SO Powerlifting starts April 27th

91b6bd64-4050-4dbc-a088-945ee6dff697.png

Our new Powerlifting program will run Saturdays from 10:00 to 11:30 am at the Island Optimal Performance Center on Dufferin Crescent (the old Dufferin Crescent Elementary School) from April 27 until June 29th. The head coach is Joel Meier 250-279-5635, Jmeier9.

In Special Olympics Powerlifting is much more than deadlift, squat or bench press. It is effort, persistence and loyalty. Training, determination and attitude, are the key facts that define the balance between a successful or a failed attempt. The barbell, despite testing the physical strength, is also highlighting the athlete’s inner wish to improve, “not to make compromises.”

Athletes wishing to register for the program need to contact our registration coordinator at sobcnanaimoreg.
